Halloween Party

Thing 1 carving out her pumpkin and Thing 2 as little bunny Foo Foo eating a piece of pumpkin bread.

Every year the program director has a Halloween party at his home in Eden, which is a beautiful area by the way. He gets a bunch of pumpkins for the kids to carve and fun things to do and just enjoy a fall afternoon. It happened to snow that day and the snow stuck around for 4 days. I was amazed and very happy that it appears to be a single event for the month of Oct. I am just not ready for snow yet.

Gymnastics

It has been a while since I have posted  and there are many reasons behind the delay. One of which is that we have been busier with our new schedules. Thing 1 is in dance and gymnastics among a few other weekly activities.
She enjoys both of her classes, though I think gymnastic fits her better. Here are a few pictures of her on the tramp and on the zip line. Her favorite is to hang from the rings.
It has been a lot of fun for me to see her do so well at things that truly terrify me as an adult. I try not to let her know that the height scares me so I don't transfer my fears onto her.

Run MO RUN

Thing 2 is crawling and has been since Aug. She LOVES our cats. She can be set in a horrible cry for whatever reason and we can say," Look, Thing 2,  the kitty" and she will stop crying and look for the cats. Both cats are incredibly patient with her. Not one has even tried to scratch her, even when she has found them and given a good yank on whatever she can get a handful of. Poor little things, they are really good cats. I try and keep them safe. Here is a picture of Thing 2 going for Mo. Unfortunately, the end of the clip goes blank and you can't see Mo claw at glass. She does it whenever she wants in or out. At night if she is out I can hear her claws click on the glass. It makes me think of a dog.

Gardner Village '08

We went down to Gardner Village again this year and had a lot of fun like we have in the past.  Thing 1 thought it was great fun to meet a "real" witch this year. Despite the super fake smile in the picture on the pony she enjoyed her ride very much.

Muddy Baby

B and I put in a simple flower bed in front of part of our home. The girls were outside with us while we were putting in the retaining wall and more bulbs and what not. Thing 2 had a grand ole time while we were working. She entertained herself with playing in the mud and dirt and ate a good amount of it as well. She was happy and well... a little dirt never hurt anyone.

tee tee Sleepy

For a few days in a row we would come home and find Sleepy in some random places. Like in Thing 2's high chair or up on the top cupboard. When we found her on the cabinets she knew she was NOT supposed to be there and quickly jumped down. Naughty little cat.
