So if it is supposed to be getting continually hotter, then why are we getting more snow now then we got in the past 10 years. Seriously, the snow won't quit. Two weeks ago we had a snow storm and we still have a foot and a half from that storm on the ground, now it is snowing again today and we recieved another 6 inches or so and it is still falling. When it is snowing like this we are stuck in the house. There is no way I am going to take Thing 2 and Thing 1 out in this much snow. I'm not too worried about my driving, but the other lunnies on the road. UT drivers are horrible when it is dry let alone when it is icy and a mess. I worry about some ninny sliding into us and shoving us off the road. It is nice getting all this moisture and it will be even nicer come summer and as beautiful as the snow is... I look forward to warmer weather. Preferably sooner then later, 'cause I am sick of the cold.

Thing 2's blessing
January 2008
Mom and Dad with Thing 2
The men who blessed her. Uncle Mike (B's brother), Bob (B's dad), B, Curtis (B's grandad), Doug, (My daddy- yes I still call my father daddy), and Lee Roy (my uncle on my dad's side)
Curtis and Marge.
Both of our parents came for the blessing as well as a few other family members. It was really very nice. Afterwards we came back to our home for a lunch.
We tried to get a full family picture of our little family but Thing 1 was hamming it up for the audience and wouldn't hold her head up. She would just be limp in her dad's arms and pretend to be asleep, fake snores and all. It was pretty funny. I thought we would have had a picture of Thing 2 in her dress but I don't. I think I may just have to put her back in it and take a few pictures of her.
She was such a good baby for the blessing. Not one little peep through the entire blessing. She really is such a good baby. Very mellow and relaxed, nothing like our firecracker, Thing 1.

Meet Thing 2
Thing 2 was born on Dec 26, 2007 at 7:47 am. She was a planned c-section so no surprises as to when she was coming for us. There was always the chance that she would come early but we weren't worried as for some reason my body will not go into labor.
She weighed 7lbs and 5oz and was 21 inches long or around there. I know I should know how long she was but I didn't pay too much attention to that. I just know she was longer then Thing 1 and weighed a little less then she did.
Grandpa Lofgran and Thing 2.
Grandma Lofgran and Thing 2
Proud daddy and his two little girls. Thing 1 was distraught during these pictures. My in-laws came down for a short period of time and took Thing 1 to stay with them in the Burg while I was in the hospital. She did NOT like the idea of having to leave her baby sister. As evidenced in the picture below. In the end she had a ton of fun with her Aunt Linds and her grandparents but still leaving the hospital room was not fun for any of us.
Our little family. As much as I missed having Thing 1 around while we were in the hospital it was really nice just spending time with little Thing 2. She is such a cute baby- we are smitten with her.

This Christmas was the BEST yet. I think part of it was that it was just our family. Not that I don't love spending Christmas with our extended families, it is just different when it is just us. This year was sooooo much fun with Thing 1 When we took her to see Santa and he asked her what she wanted for Christmas she just said she was going to get a baby sister, Thing 2 She would also say that if she is a good girl Santa would bring her a booster seat. High expectations I know; a booster seat, YEE HAW! Still that is what she wanted. Christmas eve she was all energized thinking he was going to come in the morning. We weren't sure if she would go to sleep or not that night. B read her a story and she was just talking away about Santa coming and Rudolph and so forth. I went in to check on her a few minutes later and amazingly enough she was asleep. So cute!
The next morning she woke up and came into our room at 4:30 proudly announcing she slept in her own bed all night. Part of that comes from telling her that she can come into our room once it is light outside. Right now between 3:30 and 5 am it appears to be light outside from the moon shinning on the snow and the bright reflection it gives off. Anyways, I pulled her into bed with us so she wouldn't go and look at the Christmas tree before we could get out there with the video camera. She stayed there quietly till 5:15 when she remembered Santa. She sat up in bed and said, "LET"S OPEN PRESENTS!!!"
B went out first and we both LOVE her reaction to seeing the doll house. It was the best. Christmas day was so sweet for our little family this year. I hope it continues to be this good if not better as we add more little ones to the mayhem.

Five Golden Years
B and I celebrated our fifth anniversary together on the 21st of Dec. I can't believe how fast time has flown. Sometimes it seems like yesterday that we were married and then when I think of ALL the things that have happened since we got married I am amazed that it all fits into five small years.
As corny as it sounds I do love him more today then when we got married.
