Spring Break 2011-Japanese Tea Garden

the girls by one of the ponds.

this statue is actually outside of the gardens
the tall bridge, I think it was called a moon bridge.

Another stop while in San Fran was at the Japanese Tea Garden. I remember going as a child and being fascinated with it. While it wasn't cracked up to all that I remember it being, the girls still enjoyed it. They thought the tall bridge was so neat and it made me nervous watching Thing 2 climb the steep stairs. I'm glad B was there or I wouldn't have been able to let them go. There is no way I could have climbed the stairs if I had needed to. I do love Japanese gardens though. They are so peaceful and beautiful, if I could have one here in H town I would.

Spring Break 2011-Fisherman's Warf

We went to San Fransisco with the girls for a few days for spring break this year. While we were there we went to Fisherman's Warf and the seal lions were their favorite part by far. We enjoyed watching them knock each other off of the platforms and playing around. I think they could have stayed there watching them for hours. They also enjoyed chasing all of the pigeons and seagulls. We also went to Boudin's and bought some fresh sourdough bread, mmmm that stuff is delicious. They had these adorable little loaves shaped like turtles. I wish I took a picture before giving them to the girls to eat. They were so cute!

Jungle Jim's

Here they are on the "roller coaster." Thing 2 would hold her hands up as they went around and around and scream "WEEEEEEEEEEE!"
Here they are on the little jeep/safari ride.
Thing 1 in her bumper car and below they are in these little spinning things. I went with them one time and it was such a nauseating ride. I'm always amazed at what kids can do.

Around Christmas time I bought a few passes to this place called Jungle Jim's. The girls have gone twice, once with me and once with my mom while B and I were in HI. The girls really enjoy it and it is nice to do something different with them. It isn't too big so it is easy to go for a few hours and get everything in, but still even with riding all of the rides as often as they want to within 4 hours they still want to play some more. There is only so much that I can do though.
