Apple Hill

Thing 1 and I went to Reno for a week to see my side of our family. It was a great little trip. While we were there we went on several fun excursions. First was to Apple Hill, CA. A quaint little town just on the other side of Tahoe. The town is full of apple orchards and the farmers gather together to have this festival of sorts every year. We were able to see where they make apple cidar and a few HUGE pumpkins. Thing 1 loved it, especially having all the adult attention all to her self.

Here we saw them peeling the apples in a machine that appeared to be at least a hundred years old. They then went to another spot to be made into delicious apple cidar. We also enjoyed fresh caramel apples, apple turnovers and apple crisp. YUMMMM it was all delicious.

Thing 1 on a giant pumpkin. As you can see she wouldn't allow Papa to let her go not even a second. Thing 1 and the petting zoo. The little black billy goat was her favorite. He was just her size. I admit he was really cute too, especially compared to the other large ones.

Thing 1 getting to ride with the pumpkins we picked out. She was exhausted by the end of the day.

A bit about us

The Hubs

Enjoys camping, hiking, skiing, swimming, and generally being outdoors. He enjoys doing yard work and can get all of us to join in. He is a handy dandy and gets things fixed around the house. He also keeps us laughing. Speaks Portuguese and some Spanish, mostly medical terms he has learned through helping others in the medical field.

The Wifey

Enjoys painting and decorating our home, reading, spending time with loved ones. Loves traveling and experiencing all that life has to offer. Keeps the house from falling apart on a regular basis with our girls and their friends running around. Has a bachelors degree in social work and a minor in Spanish.

Thing 1

Enjoys art, reading, being with her friends, loves to try new recipes and helps with her sisters. She tries to do what is right and has a heart of gold. She is very intelligent. She loves to snuggle with us and watch movies or read together.

Thing 2

Enjoys playing and running around. She is full of energy and excitement. She is super smart and does really well in school. She easily makes friends and is a joy to be around. She has a sweet tooth and is a great help around the house. Sometimes she asks if she can do chores all on her own.

Beans

Just the cutest little thing around right now. She is super talkative and full of giggles and love. She easily gives her family kisses and hugs. Though she can be shy around strangers she is outgoing and playful with those she knows and loves. She likes to dance and is generally happy.
